Limited to 1000 copies , this is numbered 377 , in original slipcase and Is in good condition. The green cloth bound book has sunning to the spine but no bumps. Internally the hinges are strong and there is some moisture damage to the first and second free endpapers and the title page, likely from the letter which is affixed to the verso of the first free endpaper. The slipcase is slightly worn and has some discoloration. The letter on Herbert Hoover's stationary is dated and signed. The letter is dated November 25th , 1941 , just days before the bombing of Pearl Harbor . Hoover speaks of an article published in November 1st issue of Saturday Evening Post entitled " The First Crusade " later published in book form. The letter is written to William A.
